BCS Announcements
Friday, November 6, 2009
ALL STUDENTS: Monday the Health Department will be here giving H1N1 vaccinations. If you have a permission slip hiding in your backpack or locker please find it and bring it to the office. If you are unsure if your permission slip has been turned in please check with Robin. The Health Department wants us to remind you to eat breakfast on Monday morning, and shots will be given in the upper arm so please wear appropriate clothing.
In less than two weeks, we will be hosting a visit day for students considering Bethany: Monday, Nov. 16. You can help by inviting someone in grade 5-11 to visit. Each student who brings a prospective student that day will get to participate in a pizza party served by Hank. And if we have 25 or more guests that day, Hank will shave his head! Check out the posters around the school to see what that might look like!
Items from the lost and found will be in sale today—many for $1.
The Bruin Jazz will perform in a Coffee House at 7:30 tonight in the cafeteria.
SPORTS—HIGH SCHOOL: All members of the Student Athletic Advisory Committee should bring their lunches to the multi-purpose room today. Bryan will bring the dessert.
Girls who played soccer this year or are considering playing next year will have a short meeting after school on Monday in Jason’s room.
Girls basketball will have a scrimmage at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Goshen.
CHAPEL: “What Would Lloyd Do?” —Ted and Company. For the all-school chapel today, sixth graders and their grandparents should sit in the front middle section and high school students fill in the remaining seats. Seventh and eighth graders will sit on the floor in front.
QUOTE OF THE DAY: “Jazz is the folk music of the machine age.” —Paul Whiteman (1890-1967), American band leader known as “The King of Jazz.”
