Class of 2008 Tops in Area, Exceeds State/National Averages
Bethany's average SAT scores once again highly exceeded state and national averages as well as those of area schools. The mean scores for Bethany's class of 2008 are 549 in critical reading, 586 in math, and 530 in writing for a combined total of 1665 (see comparisons below).
"What really makes Bethany's scores impressive," says guidance counselor Jim Buller, "is the high percentage of our students who take the SAT each year. These averages reflect a wide spectrum of learning abilities: from the academically gifted to the academically challenged."
